Newly married women found dead in Srirampura

A newly married woman found dead under mysterious circumstances at her house in SBM Colony, Srirampura on Saturday.

The body of 28 year old Asharani was found hanging from the ceiling. Originally from Sargur village in Nanjangud taluk, Asharani was married to Pradeep, a software engineer, a month ago on April 4 at a choultry in Kuvempunagar in the city.

Asharani's parents allege that she had told them about dowry harassments at her in-laws place from her husband and in-laws.

According to report, they had been given Rs five lakh cash and 130 grams of gold as dowry. A complaint has been registered at Kuvempunagar Police station.
