Thursday, May 06, 2021

A Father from Kuvempunagar in Mysuru send letter to the doctors of the District Hospital and Covid Care Centre at Mandakalli for thanking the frontline covid warriors for saving the life of his two children from the pandemic.

M Lakshman, a retired KPCL (Karnataka Power Corporation Limited) engineer, in his letter, said that he was extremely overwhelmed for the treatment extended and dedicated service of Doctors, Staff nurses and Supporting staff who are working under the guidance of the center.

Lakshman’s children L Arun Kumar (35) and L Ganesh (33) who work as software professionals in Bengaluru had come to Mysuru in the first week of April. Both Arun and Ganesh began suffering from high fever and underwent the RT-PCR test.

After the two of them test positive for covid, Ganesh was admitted to the District Hospital located on KRS Road and Arun was admitted at the CCC in Mandakalli on April 12. Ganesh’s health worsened by the day and he was in a critical condition. He was suffering from abnormal heart beats, as he had undergone TGA (Transposition of the great arteries) surgery when he was just over a year old. He also had tachycardia and bradycardia.

“I was more worried for my younger son Ganesh, as he has cardiac issues from birth. During the time of treatment, Ganesh’s oxygen level plummeted on the 7th day. The doctors tried their best and provided the necessary treatment to him. I am forever grateful to them,” Lakshman said.

On the 10th day, Ganesh tested negative and was discharged from the hospital. Even Arun recovered from covid without any complications. “Now both are in home isolation and we are extremely thankful to the doctors for making this possible,” he added.

Lakshman said as far as is possible we must not forget the role of corona warriors and must express our gratitude to them.
