Zoos collected over 25 lakh donation after Darshan appeals to his fans

Days after the Sandalwood actor Darshan appealed to his fans to support the Zoo in the state and help the animals during this hard time of Covid pandemic, Karnataka zoos collected over 25 laksh rupee as animal adoption plans.

Actor Darshan, in his video message, had appealed people to adopt the animals in these zoos as the zoos are facing hard time to feed them as there are no visitors to the zoo for over an year due to the pandemic.

There are a total of 9 zoos in Karnataka. Belgaum, Gadag, Kaluburgi, Davangere, Hampi, Chitradurga, Bannerghatta, Shimoga and Mysore in which Mysore zoo is one of the biggest in India.

The Karnataka Zoo Authority has thanked Darshan on its official Twitter account, saying that after the request of Darshan, the nine zoos have collected more than 25 lakhs worth of adoption and donations.

Actor Darshan also thanked all of them who adopted various animals in the Zoo personally by sharing the adoption certificates on his twitter.
