KV Sampath Kumar (64), the editor of world’s only Sanskrit-language newspaper "Sudharma", passed away in Mysuru on Wednesday afternoon following cardiac arrest. Sudharma is the only Sanskrit daily newspaper in the world. Kumar had been leading Sudharma for the past four decades and was also involved in Sanskrit language propagation programs. He was awarded the Padma Shri by the Central government in 2020 for his service to the Sanskrit language. Kumar died at noontime while working in the newspaper's office.
