Mysuru to open tomorrow; Palace, Zoo and Chamundi hill welcome to receive visitors

As Mysuru unlock from Monday, July 5th, places including Mysore Palace, Zoo and Chamundi hill is all set to receive visitors after months of closure.

Visitors will have the opportunity to enter the Mysore Palace from 10 am to 5.30 pm tomorrow. Tickets are available online and all visitors must adhere to the Covid protocol, TS Subrahmanya, Deputy Director, Mysore Palace Board, informed.

Visitors to Mysore Palace have been restricted from April 24 due to the increase in Covid cases in district.

Precautions such as thermal screening and sanitizer are arranged at the palace entrances for tourists. A separate entrance and exit are arranged. Travelers are urged to follow the social distancing.

Along with Palace, Sri Chamarajendra Zoo and the Karanji Lake in Mysore will be open to visitors from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm, Zoo's Executive Director Ajit Kulkarni said. As usual Tuesday is a holiday for Zoo.

As the month of Asha begins, Chamundi hill is also expecting visitors to the temple from tomorrow. However visitors are advised to follow the safety protocols including social distancing.
