Hindu organizations intensified their protest against the temple demolition drive in Mysuru. A protest was held by the Hindu Jagarana Vedike near the Anjaneya Temple in the Palace premise on Thursday to protest against the move by the authorities. The protest by the Vedika members and slogan raising agasint BJP led to an embarrassment to the local BJP leaders, including MLA SA Ramadas, who participated in the protest. Members of the organisation also shouted slogans at the minister in charge ST Somashekhar. An altercation at the venue occurred when the protesters tried to manhandle an Urdu newspaper journalist.
