Ambassador of India to the United States Taranjit Singh Sandhu visited the newly elected Mayor Of US' Cincinnati City Aftab Pureval and shared stories of Mysuru where the Mayor Aftab Pureval was connected with. The 38 year old Indian-Tibetan Aftab Pureval was elected as the Mayor of Cincinnati city in US' Ohio, making him the first member of the community to be elected to the position. Pureval's mother, a Tibet origina, came to India and studied in a Mysore. Later she went to Delhi for college, where she met her Punjabi husband. Pureval has travelled to Tibet once as a child but has been a frequent visitor to India.
